  1. Hi. Just been reading about this exciting adventure! I would be happy contribute time and effort if that would be of use. Please let me know if you need a willing pair of hands.

    • We are always on the look out for more help. There are always a range of tasks, from sanding to beveling a plank and the more the merrier. Bacon rolls are served on Saturday morning.

  2. Hi fellow skiffies. I hope we will see you at Anstruther, even if not your boat.

    Cheers, Topher.

    • We will be there, temporarily halting our work. Plank 5 is now on and the hull is looking good.
It will be good to see all the completed skiffs on the water and will be taking copious notes to use in the final leg of our build.

      Regards
      Gert

  3. The Newhaven Coastal Rowers have a busy weekend ahead this weekend, with many of the team attending the inaugral Scottish Coastal Rowers regatta at Anstruther and the rest of the team hosting a stall at the Newhaven Gala.

Both events are on Saturday 29 May and it would be great to see you at either of them.

Regatta starts 1pm for those wishing to watch and encourage the rowers on – head to the harbour to find everyone.

Newhaven Gala starts at 12.15 with the Gala Queen arriving by boat at Newhaven Harbour, with a procession finishing at Victoria Primary School.

  4. Hello Newhaven Skiffies!
Grand to hear that you have turned your boat over and she looks good!
Best wishes from all aboard the ‘Coigach Lass’ in Achiltibuie x

  6. Hi Newhaven All the best from Anstruther on you launch day. Looking forward to rowing with you next year.

  7. Congratulations on bagging the Islands. Just in case you have any ideas of poaching our end of the Firth, North Berwick were first around Fidra (and landed), the Lamb, the Craig and the Bass Rock. Isle of May still up for grabs.

  8. Looks like a good site

    • Thank you for the compliment. Do come for a row, you are very welcome.
